Saturday Health Clinic for Those Without Insurance
Columbia Medical Students and Professors conduct a Saturday clinic serving adults wthout insurance in the Washington Heights Community. If you would like to see a doctor for non-emergency medical care please come to this service. Citizenship and residency status are not an issue. Undocumented immigrants are welcome. Confidential service. For appointment call St. Elizabeth Rectory 9am-5pm, from Monday to Friday (212-568-8803) Ask for Olnia De Moya.
Remember that men 25 and under can go to the Young Men's Clinic for free health care, so we do not accept them. 212-795-7791 for Men's clinic. Women must be 18 or over.

The Inwood Literary Review
The Inwood Literary Review is designed to showcase and celebrate the work of writers and artists living in upper Manhattan, a neighborhood rich in arts and literature. Hundreds of writers and artists live and work in Inwood and Washington Heights and they make exciting and innovative contributions to New York City's thriving arts scene.

We accept non-fiction, fiction, poetry, and drama. Artwork may include graphics, painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media.

Guidelines:

The Inwood Literary Review welcomes submissions of narrative non-fiction/memoir, fiction, poetry, drama, and artwork. Simultaneous submissions and previously published are welcome as long as you make us aware of this.

Please direct submissions to the appropriate department. Only one submission per category is acceptable with the exception of poetry and artwork. Please send only polished final drafts. Please note that we do not post submissions - we publish them.

Fiction: limit of one - four thousand words or less
Poetry: limit of three poems (no more than 60 lines each)
Narrative non-fiction/memoir: limit of one - three thousand words or less
Drama: limit of one - one act play
Artwork: limit of three per issue

We only accept email submissions at this time.

Writing submitted for publication must be double-spaced and have your name, address, phone number, and email address on the front page.

Please note that we do not accept submissions of writing or art that includes science fiction, horror, vampire, romance, or erotica.

Please send a four or five line bio with your submission.

Contributions to the Inwood Literary Review must follow the following terms and conditions:

The Inwood Literary Review has the right to edit your writing for both space and content. If more than minor editing is involved, your writing may be returned to you for changes.

Artwork will not be edited.

Ownership rights associated with each contribution remain with the contributor.

The contributor certifies that the contribution is an original work and that he/she is the sold proprietor of that work. The contributor further certifies that the work is not a violation of an existing copyright or other property right and contains nothing libelous or otherwise unlawful. The contributor releases the Inwood Literary Review from responsibility for all claims arising out of publication for the work in the Inwood Literary Review, including but not limited to plagiarism, copyright infringement and libel.

The Inwood Literary Review offers no compensation or other payment if your contribution is accepted for publication.

All contributors must understand and agree to the above terms and conditions. Upon acceptance, a copy of this form will be sent to each contributor to be signed and returned.

When emailing, under subject, please include the category of the submission only. Subject line of e-mail submission must read "Non-fiction Submission", "Fiction Submission", "Poetry Submission", "Drama Submission" or "Artwork Submission" as appropriate. Use of any other subject line may result in accidental deletion.
