What: community service event, sewing sleeping bags for the
homeless

When: Saturday, February 5th 9:30 - 1:00 pm

Where: PS 128 cafeteria, 560 Audubon Avenue (between 168 & 169th
Street)


Join the young people of FYI as we hand-sew sleeping bags for
distribution
to homeless people around NYC. The event features a dj, breakfast and
lunch, a few raffles, and a fun, relaxed energy . Youth need to be at
least
9 years of age to take part.

Reading Program Expands
The YM/YWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood will add an additional location to its reading program, thanks to a grant by the Brooke Jackman Foundation.
Starting Oct 5, children will have the choice of going either to the McDonald's on Dyckman Street on Mondays from 4-6pm or to the McDonald's on W. 181st on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5:30pm. Contact Abraham Pena at 212-569-6200 ext 249 for more information.
