organizing the summer/fall little kid program
Hi all:

I'm organizing what I like to call "Preschool in the
Parks' program, once a week during the summer and
fall...in Bennett Park (between 183 and 185th on Ft.
Washington). Parents giving 1-2hr 'classes', what you
would normally find at a preschool....letters,
numbers, music, small science projects, field trips
etc. All this to give our preschoolers (2.5-4.5yrs
old) something a bit more challenging/educational than
a simple playgroup or visit to the playground (mostly
to give my very active 3 year old son something
stimulating to do after we take him out of his
currently full time preschool experience). This will
be a voluntary/free program....not a babysitting
service or a playgroup. All are welcome to come to
the 'classes' with a parent/caregiver. The volunteer
teacher/parents will not be expected to
discipline/babysit the children. That is up to the
parent/caregiver of each child that attends. If the
child is disrupting the group, he/she will have to
leave for that day.
I hope to start the classes in July, right now I'm
working on organizing the 'teachers' to come up with a
schedule and curriculum.

If you are interested, please email me.

Thanks Michelle
