Venture Crew Troop 729 is seeking donations of books as part of our
fundraising effort for this summer’s trek to the Catalina High
Adventure Base in California.

? Clear out your shelves and closets of books you no longer read

? We will find your books a loving home

? You get a tax deduction on your donation

? We will pick up your books

? Up to 20 deserving boys and girls from Washington Heights will
hike, bike, kayak and dive Catalina – an experience of a lifetime!

Jazz Concert - Blue Sky Trio

The BLUE SKY TRIO will play jazz in the Rabinowitz Auditorium starting at 2 p.m. The trio consists of Monica Bauchwitz, Leva Jocubaviciute and Karl Kramer.

Soil Preparation and Planting of Flowers in Tree Pits

Uptown Arts Stroll 2005 - Big Planning Meeting

Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
On Tue., Apr. 5, at the Inwood Library (4790 Broadway 1-block north of Dyckman St.) at 6:30 p.m., plans for the 2005 Uptown Arts Stroll will be unveiled during a Community Board 12 committee meeting. Artists of every discipline [in WaHI and Marble Hill] are encouraged to attend to learn how they can participate in Washington Heights-Inwood's annual arts extravaganza, scheduled from June 14 to 19.

Agenda items include:

* Announcement of the winner of the Stroll poster design contest (all entries due Fri., Apr 1 - see NEWS section of www.wahiarts.com for more info).

* Details on all planned Stroll activities.

* Details on how to participate as a visual or performing artist, including a list of possible venues.

* Timeline for being listed in Arts Stroll publicity.

* Volunteering opportunities.

* Introduction of a new Website that will serve as a database of local artists.

* Distribution of an artist survey to help draw resources to Northern Manhattan.

Gallery Workshop for Families at The Cloisters - The Dragon and the Unicorn
