Inwood/Washington Heights CSAs
Both Inwood and Washington Heights have Community Supported Agriculture groups. Little Seed Gardens in Chatham NY, grows organic crops on their farm, members buy a 'share' down here, and for 20 weeks, pick up vegetables in Inwood (Isham Park) or Washington Heights (Ft. Tryon Park, New Leaf Cafe)..Check the Links (CSA) for more information on how to join next year.

Friends of Fort Tryon Park
This website (see Links) has a calendar of activities. Including every first Sunday of the month, coffee and donuts for dogs and their owners at the dog run. I think this is still going on despite the snow.

Henry Hudson Parkway
The Henry Hudson Parkway Initiative (see Link) wants to get the Henry Hudson Parkway designated as a scenic byway. This could have benefits for motorists and pedestrians alike. Check it out.
